Karen and Charles Phillips Charitable Organizations Help Navy Veteran Through Abdominal Aneurysm

Thomas Elliot is a Navy veteran who served as an aircraft mechanic for a fighter squadron in Vietnam.  Originally from Kansas City, he currently resides in Los Angeles recovering from surgery complications of an aortic abdominal aneurysm.  Learn more about this condition at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/abdominal-aortic-aneurysm/ds01194.

Mr. Elliot’s daughter and fiance have been working to support his recovery and provide care but the costs began to overwhelm everyone.   The family contacted Phillips Charitable Organizations and applied for a grant. PCO responded with a timely grant to boost the family past its near term challenges and get on a sustainable path forward.

Karen and Charles Phillips Charitable Organizations is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit foundation providing financial help for single parents, students interested in engineering, and wounded veterans. 100% of the foundation’s assets are disbursed directly to grantees.  Our charter: urgent cases where a timely bootstrap grant can initiate meaningful change toward a planned recovery. twitter @phillipscharity  facebook:phillipscharitable
